Thin pages hurt more than empty ones
A page with 50 words tells search engines nothing. Duplicate titles across pages compete with each other. Dead links erode trust. We check all of it.
The content bar
Google's helpful content update specifically penalizes thin, AI-generated, and duplicative content. Quality pages with 300+ words and unique descriptions rank. Everything else fades.
What we check
- Word count per page — flagging pages under 50 and 100 words
- Duplicate title tags — pages competing with each other
- Duplicate meta descriptions — wasted uniqueness in search results
- Dead links (href='#') — links that go nowhere confuse users
- Call-to-action presence — homepage needs a clear next step
- Internal linking — pages should link to each other for discovery
- Content uniqueness — how much content is shared vs unique per page
What good looks like
Every page has a unique title and meta description. Key landing pages have 300+ words of substantive content. Every page has at least one clear CTA. No dead links, no placeholder text, no lorem ipsum in production.
